300 acres of tropical plantation, rainforest and waterfront. Stay beside the sea, Restaurant what is grown here, walk through cocoa country to our Bat Cave, and use Freshwater as your island base for Santo.
Freshwater is a working plantation stretching from the protected waters of the Segond Channel into the hills of Aore Island. There are only a handful of places to stay, plenty of space between them, food grown on the property, and an island landscape worth exploring.
Come for a quiet bungalow by the water, a family stay, a plantation lunch, a Bat Cave walk—or use Freshwater as a base for Santo.

Our menu begins with what is growing, what is fresh and what suits island life. Freshwater is not trying to reproduce a city restaurant on an island—the island provides the menu.

Explore Santo“Our stay at the freshwater Plantation farm stay was absolutely amazing! The bungallow is so beautiful, it is situated directly on the beach and has an amazing sea view. They also have a super nice restaurant, with delicious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Try the chicken Parmiggiana! We really enjoyed the evenings with Vny and Klaas, to talk about interesting topics by a glass of wine.”

“Miss Vny and Klaas will go out of their way to make you feel at home, pick up and drop from Aore to starfish on demand which makes things super easy to stay. We stayed at both accommodations and it was amazing. the food is also incredibly good. If you stay elsewhere highly recommend visiting their plantation for a meal a tour or some Kava”

“Lovely experience on Freshwata Plantation! Josephine was full of information about all the different fruits growing there, in the orchard as well as in the wild, alongside the history of the place. All the animals we saw looked so well trRestauranted and happy too! The bat cave was just one small part of the whole picture: a beautiful day in this lovely place, friendly service to guests and a grRestaurant change from the daily snorkeling we otherwise did 🤗. This activity is especially suited to families with kids, I'd say 6&up. Thanks for a wonderful day!”
